Spot The Difference if you can #4

Here we have two USA Special delivery stamps , both Sc#E8, which look very similar and most collectors would not even know there is a difference. This difference affects the value as well.

I sorted through a collection I purchased a few years ago at a yard sale. The bottom stamp was in this lot. Upon closer inspection, I found the variety. Although it is listed in the major catalogs, it is not numbered & hence most collectors overlook it.

Lets look a bit closer. Here are the two stamps . See the difference yet?

Here is a close up of the normal stamp (top) & the variety (bottom)

As you can see the TOP frame line is missing on the variety. These are worth roughly double the value of the normal variety in used condition & are worth looking for in your collections or in dealers stocks!
